Prairie Dogs

These cute, frisky rodents are associated with some nasty side effects. There are often rattlesnakes in and around dog towns, and they carry flees which in turn carry bubonic plague. Ranchers strongly object to their holes which can break livestock's legs. But they are fine in the State Park where the buffalo and antelope don't seem bothered.
